Project Lit is a national, grassroots LITeracy movement, a network of dedicated teachers and students who are committed to increasing access to culturally relevant books and promoting a love of reading in our schools and communities.

W.E.B. is a middle school orientation and transition program for incoming 6th grade students.  Select 8th grade students serve as mentors and student leaders, and help create a supportive, anti-bullying environment.  Current 7th grade students apply to be WEB Leaders for the program each spring. The WEB Leaders for the 2024-2025 school year have been selected.

Hart E-Bots is a 7th and 8th grade club which participates in the FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics Competition (FTC) each year. The season typically runs from September through December.

It is much more than building robots. FIRST Tech Challenge teams (up to 15 team members) are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format. Guided by adult coaches and mentors, students develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles, while realizing the value of hard work, innovation, and working as a team.

The robot kit is reusable from year to year, and can be coded using a variety of levels of Java-based programming. Teams design and build robots, raise funds, design and market their team brand, and do community outreach to earn specific awards. Each season concludes with regional championship events and an exciting FIRST Championship, which has been held in Detroit the last few years.

FIRST has many levels of robotics competitions starting in elementary school and culminating with high school (Grades 9-12). The Cyber Cats are our Stoney Creek High School FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team, and is the next step in robotics after E-Bots.

Dean Kamen, who is the founder of FIRST, says it best....."We are not using students to build robots, we use robots to build students!"

Yearbook Club members take photographs at school events, as well as create, design and edit the annual Hart yearbook. Interested 7th and 8th grade students submit their applications in September. Students will be notified in daily Morning Announcements and in our weekly e-newsletter, Hart Headlines, when the application window opens.

The faculty advisor for the Yearbook Club is Mrs. Shannon Spach.

Hart's Student Council supports community activities (food drives, support for Rainbow Connection, etc.), and also plans and runs school assemblies, promotes school spirit, and organizes special school activities. 6th and 7th grade students interested in applying for Student Council must complete an application in the spring of each school year to be considered for the following school year.  Students are selected for Student Council based on the quality of their application, an in-person interview with a Student Council advisor, and teacher recommendations. 

Student Council members for the 2024-2025 school year have been selected.

Applications for 2025-2026 Student Council will be available in May 2025. Students and families will be notified when the application window opens.

Hart's Faculty Advisors for Student Council are Mrs. Amber Golden, Mrs. Lauren Field, and Mrs. Madeline Mershman.

Looking for motivated Hart students who enjoy gardening and making their school community a beautiful place to learn!  Meetings are held monthly, usually on a Friday during each lunch period. Students meet with the advisors to eat lunch together, plan, plant, weed, rake, decorate, feed birds, and create! All are welcome. No gardening experience is required. We look forward to gardening with you!

The Hart Beautification Club faculty advisors are Mrs. Lisa Dimefski and Mrs. Julie Monroe. The club is supported & funded by the generosity of Hart's PTSA.

Ski and Snowboard Club is overseen by Mr. Jeff Gasior (Hart Teacher) 

Hart's Christian Club, REACH TOO, is a student-led Bible study which meets during lunch every Thursday beginning October 3, 2024.  Everyone is welcome! Meetings include social time/fellowship, discussion of a Bible verse or topic, and prayer. Bring your lunch and enjoy some fellowship!

The faculty advisor for REACH TOO is Mrs. Sara (JoJo) Dosch. 

Hart's club for any and all LGBTQIA+ students, family members, allies, supporters and friends. Meetings are held every other Monday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Band Room (C2). 

The Faculty Advisor for Prism Club is Mrs. Amy Rever-Oberle.

The E-Sports Club fosters the skill of collaboration, and encourages team work and community while participating in a competitive video game setting. The club meets each Monday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in room B9. The club is open to all students. No experience is necessary.

Club Advisors are Mr. Jason Schafer and Mr. Michael Dulmage. 

The Art at Hart Club is for students who enjoy art, and want to connect with other students with similar interests. Students meet on Thursdays, from 2:40 to 3:45 pm in the Art Room to work on personal art projects, and collaborate with others. There is a 1st semester Art Club and a 2nd semester Art Club to allow as many students as possible to participate.

The Art Club faculty advisor is Ms. Alyssa Stewart (Hart Art Teacher).

Hart's Soaring Students Club is a precursor to Stoney Creek High School's Key Club. Soaring Students engages students in community service and school service projects, and encourages volunteerism, leadership, character-building, compassion, and inclusivity. The club is open to all Hart students.

The Club Advisors are parent volunteers.

Hart's Dungeons & Dragons Club offers adventure, fun, laughter and new friends to students in 6th through 8th grades. The D&D Club meets every other Thursday from 2:30 to 3:30 pm in the Band Room (C6), beginning September 12th.

The World Language Club is for any student interested in world languages such as French, Spanish, German and Chinese. Students do not have to be enrolled in a world language class, or speak a world language to participate. The club will meet one Thursday each month beginning October 17, 2024.
